With your support, a child can have the opportunity try new things, develop skills and achieve goals alongside first responders who become their trusted role models. Building self-esteem and self-confidence is key for children to have hope for a better, brighter tomorrow.
Employment Readiness Services
VOA provides employment readiness services for the adults participating in our various programs, including residents of our permanent housing, men and women served by our Reentry Center, and parents whose children attend our Children's Center. Our staff provide low-income and previously homeless men and women with assistance preparing for and conducting job searches, including resume preparation, interview coaching, and workplace behavior guidance to give participants confidence as they rejoin the workplace.
The Working Wardrobe outfits participants with business clothing for job interviews and full time positions. Participants who receive a referral from a community partner can make an appointment to receive the outfits to help them dress for success. Do you have a written referral to get workplace attire for a job or job interview? Email firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the form below to schedule your appointment today.
Please note that outside appointments are ONLY on Wednesday mornings between 9:30am-12:30pm
