Volunteers of America Children’s Center Pre-Schoolers Go Trick or Treating At Neighbor Jordan Health Center Office
Volunteers of America Children’s Center Pre-Schoolers Go Trick or Treating At Neighbor Jordan Health Center Office More than 300 preschoolers from Volunteers of America’s Children’s Center went to visit the staff at Jordan Health, VOA’s neighbor on Lake Avenue, for some Halloween morning trick or treating. There were smiles all around as staff and children alike showed off their costumes and participated in the holiday’s treasured custom of handing out candy.
VOA’s Children’s Center provides child care and early educational programs to children 6 weeks through 12 years old to prepare them for success in school and beyond. When they’re not trick or treating at local organizations, the children benefit from on-site dental care, telemedicine, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, as well as breakfast and lunch each weekday.
The Children’s Center has been open since 1987 and is celebrating its twentieth year in its current location. With 18 operational classrooms, Volunteers of America is able to serve 360 children every day. More information can be found on VOA’s website https://www.voaupny.org/childrenscenterroc
