Thank You to VOA Volunteers!

April was National Volunteer Month, and VOA would like to thank all of the people who have volunteered with us recently to help us fulfill our mission.

Thank you to the Sunday school class at All Saints Episcopal Church in Johnson City who organized a donation drive to collect toys and toiletries for our family shelter in Binghamton. Thank you to the groups who host our monthly birthday parties for the children and families staying at our Guest House Family Shelter. Thank you to the students who volunteer their time providing homework assistance for the school age children at our Children's Center’s After School Program.

Thank you to the groups from RIT and Excellus that came out on United Way’s Day of Caring to landscape and clean out classrooms at the VOA Children’s Center. Thank you to the Frontier Pioneers, the Rochester Women's Network, and the Chada group for volunteering at our annual "I Remember Mama" breakfast.

Finally, thank you to all of the individuals who help Volunteers of America’s programs to make a difference for the people we serve. Volunteers are the key to Volunteers of America. Thank you for taking action to make an impact in people’s lives.
