On Mother’s Day, many of us honor a special woman in our life with a gift- a card, flowers, or tasty treats. Sadly, many older women find themselves forgotten on this very special day. For 35 years, Volunteers of America has recognized these mothers in our community who have outlived or become separated from their families.

This year, Volunteers of America is delivered gift bags to mothers in senior housing and programs. These gift bags were filled with cards, potted flowers, and treats for the women to enjoy. With your support, Volunteers of America delivered more than 200 special gift bags to mothers during Mother’s Day weekend to show that they are cared for and remembered.
