Each year we help more than 10,000 people in Upstate New York rise above the challenges of poverty with a safety net to help them start over. This would not be possible without the enthusiasm of our donors and partner organizations to raise awareness and celebrate the lives being changed in our communities. Charity Trivia Night
March 10, 2026 – 7:30 p.m.
Trivia night just got more meaningful. Put your knowledge skills to the test for a great cause! For VOA Week and in celebration of our 130th anniversary, join Volunteers of America for a Charity Trivia Night at The Sheffield. Gather your friends, grab a drink, and compete for bragging rights all while supporting programs in housing, education, and health.
Annual VOA Gala
Save-the Date for the 6th annual gala on April 16, 2026 at Harro East Ballroom as we celebrate 130 years of VOA, looking at the past, present, and future possibilities.
I Remember Mama
Every Mother’s Day for more than 35 years, VOA recognizes older women who are alone by delivering special care packages and gifts of appreciation.
Strike Out Poverty
Every time a Red Wings pitcher strikes out an opposing hitter, a donation is made to VOA. Join VOA and the Rochester Red Wings as we #StrikeOutPoverty!
Golf Tournament
VOA’s 23rd annual golf tournament took place on September 8, 2025 at the Locus Hill Country Club helping us raise $75,000 for VOA programs.
