The VOA Children’s Center

Since 1987, the VOA Children’s Center has been providing full-time child care and educational programs focused on early childhood development and school readiness through play-based learning.

VOA’s nationally accredited child care center proudly serves more than 150 children daily from ages 6 weeks up to 12-years-old. We also provide on-site support services to promote the health and wellbeing of children.

The Children’s Center is located at 214 Lake Avenue. Rochester, NY 14608
The center is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Child Care

Our nationally accredited day care center serves infants and toddlers from six weeks to three years old for full-time child care Monday through Friday. Caring and dedicated staff ensure that every child is provided resources to develop their social, emotional, physical, and academic needs.

Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) and Extended Pre-Kindergarten

Free full-day Universal Pre-K for 3- or 4-years-old through the Rochester City School District with curriculum aligned to NYS Next Generation Standards. Activities are learner-centered and promote a child’s growth and development.

After-School and Summer Programs

Enhanced after-school and full-time summer programs for school age students aged 5-12 that includes STEM activities, art and music offerings, homework help, and nutritious snacks. For summer, we also provide a kindergarten readiness program for our young learners.
